The match ended with Notic beating caLamity, by 2-0 on de_tuscan and de_inferno_pro. Maximum Precision ZA (mpzA), showed that they are an upcoming team that spectators should keep an eye on, when they walked over Ventus on de_dust2. Ventus tried to pull things back on de_inferno_pro, but mpzA proved too strong and took the game 2-0.




Match-Ups
BOTC is heating up, as round 2 sees some really good teams coming up against each other.



Mint Gaming was seeded first for the competition as they managed to win Leg 3 of the Do Gaming league, the team will be up against mpzA - which Mint should take with relative ease. Mint has been playing really well of late, but much of their success depends on one or two of their players kicking up their game a gear and dominating the opposition. If this doesn't happen Mint could struggle against mpzA, a team that wins rounds and eventually games due to good teamwork and communication.

Pantheon and Caucasian Persuasion (cP) who both failed to perform during the Do Gaming League are set to face each other. Both teams have had lineup changes, with Pantheon bringing in former Vintage player - ex-EC teammate Jaun “Zeo” Nieuwoudt, to replace Graeme "korupt" Blackburn who left Pantheon to join Notic. This change should see the team chemistry improve, as 4 (including Niewoudt) of the Pantheon players all belonged to the well accomplished eC. CP has also made a change bringing in Warrick "fr0st" Noble to replace Ricardo "wink-E" Rebolo, hopefully this sees the team fill the void left by the departure of Johan "Las" van Eck.

MTheory will have their first chance to try Ryan "ACh3" Macquet out in an 'official' match since his inception into the squad. They will be pitted against the new Bravado squad, while Bravado had a poor run the league, their changes during the transfer period late into the leg clearly improved their gameplay, as the team managed to win their last 2 games against Vintage and Pantheon.



The fourth game to lookout for is between Notic and Memento Mori. Memento Mori who had a bye the first round, will be out to prove that they have what it takes to be considered as one of the top teams. They are always seen as the underdogs, yet are always capable of causing an upset or two. While Notic, a team made up of the merger of many top players, has the potential to win the cup, but may lack in teamwork and communication. If they see their game come together in time, this could be a walk in a park for them.
