Popular Call of Duty 4 website, COD4.CO.ZA will be hosting their latest Call of Duty 4 competition called the 'Survival Series'.
With so many teams still playing the popular fps, COD4.CO.ZA will be hosting a competition called the survival series. This is not just a competition, the tournament hosts will now try their hand at hosting a league, and judging by the success they have had with their ONC's (One Night Cups), the league is something you do not want to miss out on. Organized chaos (OC) is a monthly LAN held in Cape Town. The December 2011 LAN saw 1200+ people attend. This month OC ran a Starcraft II competition.
The Starcraft 2 tournament hosted by OC had a double elimination format, with each round consisting of a best of 3 games. miNt saw players Ryan 'CryTT' O'doherty and Tristan 'Clitsybananas' Bridger, also knows as 'Bouncy', take part in the competition. Marius 'Stripe' van der Merwe was not available over the weekend due to work related matters. The Telkom Do Gaming league is heading towards a bigger than ever season next year, as large prize pools are already being announced.
So far the Battlefield 3 league is already boasting a R100,000 prize pool sponsored by Electronic Arts and Gaming Inc. Modern Warfare 3 has R 50,000 courtesy of Megarom and R10,000 in Monster energy drink goodies up for grabs. Battlefield 3 teams are already forming and reforming ahead of next year. There are rivalries already developing between some of the stronger teams. Teams like Synergy Gaming, First in Battle, and Damage Control have started feeling each other out in friendly clan matches. From the current look of things, it will be a intense and strongly competitive season in 2012.
After a long 2011 season, the Mint Gaming teams and players will be on a break until the competitive season resumes.
Although the teams and players will be on a break, management will still be following the local and international communities to bring you up to date news and reviews. |
